About

Slabtown Village is Portland’s tiny home hotel to mix existing historical houses with high-end modern tiny homes to form a one-of-a-kind stay in NW Portland. Each home is fully furnished and self-contained. All homes come with light cooking options, shower, full bathroom amenities, complimentary tea and coffee, and an attached deck alongside outdoor areas. Bike parking with chargers nearby for e-bikes. Free digital parking passes. A/C in the summer! Laundromats nearby for longer stays.

Good to know

Much like its namesake, the pint-sized yet pugnacious former Portland mayor Vera Katz, the Vera packs a lot of punch for its size. The largest of Slabtown Village’s tiny homes, the Vera includes a loft space that can sleep two on a queen bed and a daybed that can be used to sleep on as well. Clean, modern, and bright, Vera’s charm can be found in modern touches such as marble countertops, exposed wood shelving, a wall-to-wall tiled bathroom and hardwood floors. The tiny house also includes microwave, refrigerator, toaster, hot kettle and coffeemaker for fueling up for Portland adventures. A twin-sized daybed sofa can be used to sleep on as well. When booking, please request extra linens if you would like to use this for sleeping.

This stay was really cool! Located right downtown Portland, we could get anywhere we needed really quickly. Tiny home living is something everyone should try! The house cools down and heats up really well. Bed was super comfortable. We had everything we needed for our two night stay. Host was extremely communicative and accommodated our very last minute booking request! We had absolutely no issues and would recommend this to anyone!

My stay was great !! Great coffee shops & restaurants nearby. Super simple check-in process, place is as seen, and love the area. The tiny home was super cute & Kristy was an amazing host! I’ll be sure to stay here again in the future when I’m in Portland.

We had a great stay! There was an initial issue with the heater and John was very responsive. He came over right away and fixed the issue. We even got a bit of an upgrade for our inconvenience. The tiny home was tiny but it was perfect for my daughter and I to spend the weekend.

This was such a perfect place in an ideal location! Slabtown is adorable, a perfect Airbnb for a solo traveler. It was cozy, super clean, and had all the extra I needed (coffee/tea maker, iron, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). It was a short walk to all the great shops and restaurants on 23rd Street. The hosts were very responsive and worked with me when I needed an early check-in. The recommendations in the Visitor Book were a great bonus. I wish I would have been able to stay more than one night!

Find us

Because the home is so close to restaurants, shops, and nightlife we recommend walking or biking. We are a block away from one of Portland's "Biketown" pods. The Portland streetcar is only one block away as well. You can find maps of both online and more detailed transportation options are in our guidebook within the home. Uber and Lyft both have a strong presence in Portland, for those times you'd like a ride.
